Update: Boots has been adopted
Update: Boots was adopted this morning.
Boots has endured months of cruelty. His previous owners - in a terribly misguided and harsh attempt to keep puppy Boots from barking and chewing - tightly bound his muzzle shut. Boots is now left with a scar around his muzzle; a slight, but permanent, disfigurement to his face.
Understandably shy around new people, Boots comes out of his shell once you are familiar to him and gain his trust. Boots needs to go to a quiet, settled home with an experienced dog owner who ideally has another, more confident dog.
“He really is a sweet boy and just needs time and patience to shine,” says the Home’s General Manager Sue Conroy.
One year old terrier mix Boots is available to adopt from our North Melbourne shelter, and is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and health checked. Please call (03) 9329 2755 and quote tag number 844211 if you would like to adopt him.
