Thank you from the cats at the Home
Thank you so much to those who kindly responded to our urgent request for donations of tinned cat food.
We are touched by the numerous contributions of cat food dropped off at the Home and the many generous donations which will help us purchase more cat food. Hundreds of cats over the next few weeks will benefit directly from this kindness and we couldn’t be more grateful.
However we still need more cat food and I hope you will be able to help. In particular we require kitten food and premium tinned cat food.
We estimate that recent donations will be enough to feed the several hundreds of cats we will care for over the next three months. However, unfortunately it will not be enough to see us through to the end of the year, especially when spring then summer arrive and the volume of cats and kittens we receive will more than double. With a 40% increase in the number of cats coming into the Home we fear that our current tinned food supplies will be exhausted well before we run our annual Christmas Pet Food Appeal.
It really would be wonderful if you could help by making a donation of tinned cat food or a monetary gift to help us feed and care for the many hundreds of cats we will look after over the next 6 months. If you have already made a donation please be assured we are so grateful for your support, if not we hope that you will be able to help us this time.
Currently at the Home we need to feed on average 100 cats a day, which equals approximately 50 cans of tinned and dry food every day. Soon it will be more. We will struggle to cope without the generous support of kind people like you.
