As Melbourne recovers after the record breaking storms, 76 of the 92 dogs who were rescued by The Lost Dogs' Home over Saturday and Sunday have been reclaimed by their owners.
Melbourne’s stormy weekend resulted in the admission of 92 lost and frightened dogs to The Lost Dogs' Home. The Home accommodated this deluge of displaced dogs in its North Melbourne shelter, also affected by the torrential downpour.
The Lost Dogs’ Home experienced record adoption rates in February 2010. Up 84% on the same time last year, staff are thrilled to see so many dogs welcomed into new and loving homes.
Hello, I’m Skip.
I had a few good years with my previous owners, but when the baby came along, he took up all their time and energy. I was brought to the Home in the hope I’d appeal to a new owner.
