Who’s for cats? We are.

From 1 March to 12 April 2010, The Lost Dogs' Home will desex and microchip ‘semi-owned’ cats for a heavily discounted fee as part of the “Who’s for cats?” animal welfare campaign.

Herald Sun hurries Harry’s family reunion

No sooner had the Evans family of Niddrie put their feet up to take in the arrival of the New Year, did they realise that their beloved eight-year-old Airedale Terrier, Harry, was missing.

Snoopy survives dog attack, is looking for a new home

Stray Snoopy was attacked by a large dog whilst he wandered alone in a park. Having escaped with a severe wound to his hind leg, Snoopy was brought to The Lost Dogs' Home where he has been receiving veterinary care and TLC.

Melbourne’s wild weather results in a deluge of dogs

As news reports warned of the expected storms, staff at The Lost Dogs' Home prepared, ensuring additional Animal Ambulances were on the road and staff were on the phones.

When the sky darkened and the thunder and rain began, the dogs currently at the Home barked a cacophony.

Roxy is looking for a new home

Surrendered to The Lost Dogs' Home by owners who no longer had time for her, Standard Poodle mix Roxy was in desperate need of proper care.

Record number of dog adoptions in January!

January 2010 has set a blistering pace for adoptions at The Lost Dogs' Home with 220 dogs rehomed at its Gracie Street headquarters.

Lucky he found his way home!

When Lucky the border collie went missing from his home near Shepparton last year the Nethersole family feared the worst.  But true to his name, Lucky bounced back and last Friday he was reunited with his relieved family after an incredible six months on the run.
